The Light Brown Apple Moth (LBAM) Environmental Advisory Task Force held its monthly meeting yesterday in Monterey, California. WG’s Dr. Hadi Tabbara serves on the state’s task force along with other scientists. They report to the Secretary of Agriculture about the research needs and environmental concerns of the LBAM program. As a government body, all meetings are open to the public. One member of the public, David Dilworth, executive director of Helping Our Peninsula's Environment (HOPE), spoke to the adoption of sticky traps to eradicate the LBAM as opposed to aerial pheromone spraying.
