Western Growers took a bold step after the House of Representatives passed their climate change bill on June 26th with a vote of 219-212. We decided to stand up for our members and oppose further climate change legislation in the Senate, something that no other specialty crop association had done. We were joined by only three other agricultural trade associations – those representing cotton, rice and the American Farm Bureau Federation.
