As part of its effort to develop the next generation of tech-savvy agricultural workers, Western Growers will be hosting AgTechX Ed at Reedley College on August 25 -26, 2021.

This event will bring together universities and colleges, farming and agricultural partners, and technology companies across California for a series of educational sessions on how to transition the agriculture workforce to master rapidly developing agricultural technology.

After taking a short hiatus in 2020, WG’s Voices of the Valley Podcast has returned with five new episodes. Listen as podcast host Dennis Donohue (director of the WG Center for Innovation & Technology) and guest host Candice Wilson (vice president of business development at GreenVenus) delve into burgeoning agricultural technology topics with industry experts.

The latest episodes are a quick listen, running each at about 25 minutes in length, and cover topics such as the importance of data sharing in food safety and how to successfully integrate technology into agriculture.

The Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology (WGCIT) invites all agtech startups and Western Growers members to a special “open house” on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.

As a hub for collaboration, the WGCIT encourages networking and mingling between entrepreneurs and farmers during the event. The event will also feature WGCIT staff sharing updated about Western Growers and the latest innovation initiatives.
