The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) hosted a webinar today to discuss several topics related to the safety of leafy greens.

After FDA’s Deputy Commissioner for Food Policy and Response Frank Yiannas offered insightful opening remarks, the following topics were discussed:

  1. Latest Outbreak Investigation Report
  2. California Longitudinal Study and CDFA update
  3. Agricultural Water Treatment Update
  4. Leafy Green Traceability Pilots

On Monday, June 22, 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will host the next call in a series of weekly private sector calls for updates on the COVID-19 response. As previously announced in Spotlight, the CDC is conducting private sector calls detailing what the CDC knows and what it is doing in response to the coronavirus outbreak. The CDC plans to host calls every Monday for the foreseeable future.
