The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for most of Northern through Central California with temperatures expected to range from 100-112 degrees in some areas by the end of the week. Since Cal OSHA closely monitors heat advisories from the NWS, it may initiate a number of inspections of companies to verify that they are compliant with state regulations regarding heat illness.

The California Department of Pesticide Regulations (DPR) released new proposed control measures for Chloropicrin use on May 15. It is important to note that these measures, as proposed, are more stringent than both the EPA’s and DPR’s current application requirements.
