The Gowan Company celebrated its 60th anniversary last week at the Gowan Global Gathering, where Dennis Donohue, Executive Director of the Western Growers Center for Innovation and Technology, lead a panel on Emerging Tech.

An estimated 600 attendees gathered at the event, which was hosted at Gowan’s headquarters in Yuma, Arizona.

Gowan Group is a global, family-owned agriculture solutions business. The company specializes in developing, marketing, and manufacturing global agriculture inputs, such as crop protection products, seeds and fertilizers.

Western Growers and global agritech consultancy Wharf42 are pleased to announce the 2023 Salinas Biological Summit will be held on June 20-21 in Salinas, Calif.

The two-day summit will bring together growers, scientists, researchers, startups, investors and industry experts from all over the word to discuss international solutions for improving soil and plant health, address scalable opportunities in the biological space and get a better understanding of the challenges facing growers across the entire specialty crop domain.

An Amici Curiae brief has been filed on behalf of seven agricultural trade associations, including Western Growers Association, Ventura County Agricultural Association, Grower-Shipper Association of Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo County, Grower-Shipper Association of Central California, California Strawberry Commission and the California Fresh Fruit Association.  The legal brief is intended to oppose the appeal filed by the California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation from a U.S. District Court ruling decided in favor of Red Blossom, Inc.
