Date: Jan 22, 2013

Starting Feb. 1, WG will gather proposed changes to Issues 13 & 14 (Production Locations) of the leafy green guidance documents utilized by the Leafy Green Marketing Agreements (LGMA) in Arizona and California. Proposed changes may be submitted by email to or by fax at (949) 809-6251. The deadline to submit proposed changes is March 1.

Although a systematic review of the document based on our master calendar is preferred, emerging or key issues related to other sections of the document may also be submitted at this time. All proposed changes should be 1) comprehensive and auditable by government auditors (if they impact the audit checklist), 2) accompanied by a statement on how proposed changes will advance or enhance food safety, and 3) clear and have a straightforward scientific basis or rationale including citations of relevant research if available.

For more details and information, join our WG’ LGMA metrics distribution list by contacting WG’s Sonia Salas or visit the leafy green community website at
