Members of the WG Board of Directors gathered in Arizona this week to meet with key influencers and stakeholders in the Grand Canyon State.

Highlights of the trip include meetings with Sen. Don Shooter (R-Yuma) and Senate President Andy Biggs (R-Gilbert). Topics included HB 2338, the controversial water bill that WG strongly opposed and helped lead a coalition to block. The Bill, sponsored by Speaker Andrew M. Tobin, is currently held in committee.

Leaders and staff also held productive meetings with the Arizona Restaurant Association regarding collaboration on food safety. Pictured above are Sen. Shooter; WG Director Sonny Rodriguez; WG Director Gary Pasquinelli; WG Chairman Steve Barnard; Senate President Andy Biggs; WG Directors Will Rousseau and Mark Teixeira; WG’s AnnaMarie Knorr, Arizona Government Affairs Manager, Executive Vice President Matt McInerney and Dave Puglia, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs.

Stay tuned to future editions of Spotlight for updates as WG continues to fight for you.
