Over the past two months, Western Growers has delivered valuable information to more than 300 members to help ag businesses prepare for the Affordable Care Act mandates.  Several successful executive forums were hosted this week throughout the Central Valley. But don’t worry if you didn’t get a chance to attend one of the recent forums, WG is still available to help guide you through health care reform and assist you in making important decisions for your business.

Director Edwin Camp kicked off the event in Bakersfield April 24. And Director Ron Ratto kicked off the Modesto event April 25, while Director John Harris kicked off another event in Coalinga that same day. Each Director was joined by WG’s Compliance Counsel Jonathan Alexander, who helped guide owners and key decision makers in preparing for the 2014 Affordable Care Act mandates. Alexander, Larry Labriola, asst. vice president of underwriting and Craig Ohlsen, vice president Western Growers Insurance Services demonstrated how members can analyze their existing workforce to anticipate costs for next year using Western Growers proprietary cost calculator. Those in attendance walked away with health care options to consider for 2014. WG Insurance Services staff will follow up one-on-one with those interested in utilizing the calculator to strategize specific solutions and costs for the coming year.

WG is here for you: Please take this opportunity for you and your staff to learn how to prepare for the ACA mandates. With 2014 around the corner, education is a must for CEOs, CFOs, principals, HR leaders and anyone involved in making health benefit decisions for your business. Please contact your local Western Growers Assurance Trust representative, or Western Growers Insurance Services to schedule a private consultation to discuss your specific business requirements at (800) 333-4WGA. Members also have access to our online Health Care Reform Guide.
