Western Growers Assurance Trust (WGAT) is pleased to announce the successful completion of its SSAE 16 SOC-1 Type I audit.

Conducted by SSAE Professionals LLP, this report verifies WGAT’s internal infrastructure, security and controls as it relates to the effective administration of WGAT’s health plan.

“Our members are our top priority,” said David Zanze of WGAT.  “Receiving our SSAE 16 SOC-1 Type I report defines our commitment to the highest standards of business practices regulated by our industry.  Our customers can trust WGAT to protect and manage their highly sensitive information and assets.”

The SSAE (Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements) No. 16 report replaced the SAS 70 as the authoritative guidance for confirming controls at a service organization.  The SSAE 16 Type I report provides an attestation that WGAT’s system, as designed and implemented, is suitable for the objectives of our organization.

WGAT members and potential customers are welcome to review the report. To request a copy or to obtain more information, please contact David Zanze.
