Members of the Western Growers Board of Directors are meeting in Washington, D.C. this week at a crucial moment for critical issues in the agriculture industry. While there, the board is meeting with national opinion and policy makers to discuss the need for immigration reform, specialty crop concerns with passage of the Farm Bill, food safety regulations and other pressing issues.

Today, the board met with Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack as well as Reps. Jeff Denham, Devin Nunes, Doug LaMalfa, Darrel  Issa, Trey Gowdy, and Gloria Negrete McLeod.  The group also visited with officials from the Food and Drug Administration.
