Date: May 23, 2013

Throughout the last six months, a task force of agricultural representatives from Monterey, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara and San Benito Counties has actively created a groundwater cooperative monitoring program for Regional Board approval. This program would serve as a grower’s method for compliance with groundwater well monitoring, as opposed to individual monitoring. The Regional Board has commented on the proposal and it has been updated based upon those comments and your feedback.

Please join the task force to learn details of our final proposal, including data confidentiality, cost, timelines, and its value to you and the industry. There are two grower meetings to update the industry and gauge commitment on this program next week. Please expect each meeting to last approximately one and a half hours.
