If you’ve been trying to understand your requirements under The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), by now, you’ve come to realize that the federal statute is (at the risk of citing the obvious) complex.  As evidenced by the delay announced in July, the federal government also sees that there are complexities that will require additional time for employers to prepare for compliance.

If this announcement has you breathing a sigh of relief, while you contemplate crawling under a rock and ignoring it for another year, think again.  There are still several requirements you will need to comply with before 2015, such as notifying your employees about the exchanges and the deadline for the individual mandate.
