The deadline for comments on two FDA proposed rules pertaining to the Food Safety Modernization Act is quickly approaching and Western Growers is providing a Lunch and Learn Webinar for interested parties.  (WG has also made summaries and information available to better navigate and understand both rules.)

This webinar is aimed at providing you with a summary of key provisions that may impact your business and to provide information on how to submit individual comments. Hear from us and share your thoughts and concerns. Your input is valuable in assisting WG with finalizing its comments.

Comments for the “Standards for the Growing, Harvesting, Packing and Holding of Produce for Human Consumption,” known as the “Produce Rule,” as well as the “Current Good Manufacturing Practice and Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food” also known as “Preventive Controls Rule”  can be made prior to November 15, 2013, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
