Sen. Feinstein weighs in on potato exports to Mexico

This week California Senator Dianne Feinstein sent a letter to the U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk urging him to continue efforts “to harmonize agricultural trade standards with the Government of Mexico.   The senator said the “Mexican market is of the utmost importance to California agriculture, and the removal of unscientific barriers to trade will be a great boon for the industry.”

At California Farm Stop, Gov. Brown Adresses State Water Supply

California Governor Jerry Brown ventured into farm country yesterday to help pitch his $14 billion plan for the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. At the Colusa Farm Show, Brown addressed hundreds of farmers regarding the Bay Delta Conservation Plan, a multi-species habitat and species protection plan that would feature twin tunnels under the Delta to help secure a reliable water supply for cities and farmers to the south and improve the Delta ecosystem by restoring more natural flow patterns in the Delta.
