In Sacramento last night, the Western Growers Board of Directors hosted a reception for members of the California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation from the California Legislature. Concerns about the drought, immigration reform and the business climate in the state form areas of common interest between production agriculture and the caucus. Those attending included Assembly members: Luis Alejo (D-Salinas); Christina Garcia (D-Bell Gardens); Lorena Gonzalez (D- San Diego); Jose Medina (D-Riverside); Freddie Rodriguez (D-Pomona); Rudy Salas (D-Bakersfield) and Senators: Dr. Ed Hernandez (D-West Covina); Ben Hueso (D-San Diego); Ricardo Lara (D-Bell Gardens).
