In an effort to grow critical relationships with the producers while also advancing employee knowledge of production agriculture, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is urging farmers, ranchers, and foresters to join the Conservation Agricultural Mentoring Program (CAMP).

CAMP matches skilled and experienced producers with an NRCS field employee. Once matched with a producer mentor, the employee will go out on the land with them 6-12 times per year for a period of 12-18 months – always during agreed upon times that are convenient for the producer.

The U.S. Department of Labor will be hosting a series of webinars in June and July to discuss how the Department is helping workers and employers by reducing regulatory burdens and making it easier to understand and comply with the law. The first in the series is dedicated to the agriculture industry and will feature speaker Wage and Hour Division Administrator Cheryl Stanton. The webinar will provide an opportunity for workers, employers, and state and local governments to ask questions and discuss how the Department can expand and improve access to its compliance assistance materials.
