Western Growers kicked off its “Let’s Grow Roadshow” this week, where WG staff travel around California and Arizona to provide mini-workshops on topics including human resources, insurance services, food safety, financial services and more. During the workshops, farming, food and agricultural professional have the opportunity to explore some of the industry’s most pressing issues and receive tangible takeaways that they can immediately implement at their respective companies.

California is only halfway through its fire season, yet the fires the state has been plagued with over the past month have ruined thousands of acres of land and caused many evacuations. Recently, Governor Gavin Newsom announced the launch of RESPONSE.CA.GOV, a state website supplying Californians, who have been impacted by wildfires and utility-directed power shutoffs, with the proper tools and resources needed for wildfire recovery.
