Baloian Farms Founder, Ed Baloian, Passes Away

The Chairman of Fresno-based Baloian Farms, Ed Baloian, passed away on August 2 at the age of 92. Mr. Baloian started the company in 1986 with his son Tim who currently serves as the company’s president.  Baloian Farms is a long-time Western Growers member and grows peppers, onions and other vegetables in California, Arizona, Mexico and Chile.   

According to The Packer, Mr. Baloian was a member of the People’s Church in Fresno and of the Northwest Fresno Rotary Club.

Visitation is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 8 at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns, & Blair Funeral Home. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Aug. 9 at the People’s Church in Fresno. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Fresno Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 1422, Fresno, CA, 93716 or to Seeds in His Garden P.O. Box 919, Seaside, CA, 93955.
