Experiencing H-2A Delays? Contact Western Growers

Over the past few weeks, there have been delays in the processing of H-2A visa applicants through the State Department. This is due to a system-wide glitch related to software updates that were made and has impacted U.S. visa processing globally.

Western Growers has been working with congressional offices to encourage both quick resolution of this issue and to ask for assistance on expediting H-2A applications. While there may be temporary unavoidable delays in getting H-2A visas processed, there may be opportunity to address concerns on a case-by-case fashion.

Any members facing immediate hardship or loss because of H-2A visa delays -- and who can demonstrate that loss through quantifiable data -- should contact Ken Barbic in our Washington, D.C. office at (202) 296-0191 for further assistance.  Additionally, if you have questions about how this could impact your operations in the future, we encourage you to contact us.

Western Growers will continue to press for a speedy resolution to this concern and will provide additional updates as they become available.
