Bagrada Bugging You? Register for Our November 10 Webinar

Western Growers has recently been contacted by several growers expressing concern about high numbers of bagrada bugs and corresponding damage to brassicas.  With reports of tens of thousands of insects per acre and entire fields lost, we are exploring ways that we may be of service to our members.

While a silver bullet may not be in the arsenal just yet, we invite you to join us for a conversation with Dr. John Palumbo, an accomplished entomologist with several years of research on this pest.  The webinar, scheduled for November 10th, will be an opportunity to learn from Dr. Palumbo how this pest is managed in desert environments and discuss the applicability of those methods in other regions.  It will also provide an opportunity for Western Growers to learn more from you about the scope and significance of this pest as we work to help identify tools and strategies to help control the insect and minimize losses.
