Following a long illness, David Hart, former Western Growers’ Board Director and respected agriculture industry leader, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.

According to Grower-Shipper Association’s Jim Bogart, Dave served twice on GSA’s board during the 40 years he spent in agriculture. He also held prominent positions at Royal Packing, Dole Fresh Vegetables and, most recently, Church Brothers.

Sr. Executive Vice President Matt McInerney said, “David was a very dedicated board member, giving of his time and expertise to so many Western Growers’ efforts. His contributions to the produce industry are immeasurable. He will be sorely missed. Our deepest condolences go out to his wife Mary, his children Tracy and Heather, and his father Don who also served as a Western Growers’ board member.”
