The State Water Resources Control Board and the Department of Water Resources released information about a series of informational meetings they will hold to discuss the implementation of Suitable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) and to answer questions from the public. The first two meetings start tomorrow, October 21 in the Los Angeles area.

Two meetings will be held on each (with the exception of the Redding meeting). Afternoon sessions are designed for local public agencies and organizations, and evening sessions are designed for groundwater users and the general public. Agendas are available in English and Spanish  

  • Oct 21, in Los Angeles Area, at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • Oct 22, in Visalia, at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • Oct 27, in Sacramento and via webcast, at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • Nov 5, in Redding, at 1:00 p.m.
