Tom Papa to Perform During the 90th Annual Meeting Award of Honor Dinner

Comedian Tom Papa will be the performer during the entertainment portion of this year’s Award of Honor Dinner. Papa, a 20 plus–year veteran in stand-up comedy, has been showcased in a variety of entertainment mediums that include the silver screen, TV, radio, and the live stage. His first hour-long special, Tom Papa Live in New York City, premiered on Comedy Central in January of 2012 and was followed by a second special, Tom Papa: Freaked Out, in 2013. That special was named one of the 10 Best Comedy Albums of 2013 by Laughspin.com. He has also been seen in the hit Comedy Central series, Inside Amy Schumer.  

Papa has several film credits to his name. He appeared in the HBO movie, Behind the Candelabra, with Michael Douglas and Matt Damon – a film that won 11 Emmy’s. He also appeared in another Damon film, The Informant. Robert DeNiro played opposite of Papa in the movies, Analyze That and Comedian. His film career includes voiceover work in animated movies such as, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto and Bee Movie, where he was also credited as a writer.  

Tom can be seen alongside Clive Owen in Steven Soderbergh’s, The Knick, on Cinemax and he will be seen in the highly anticipated Chris Rock film, Top Five. In 2015, Tom will host the new FOX TV game show, Boom!.

Papa was personally chosen by Jerry Seinfeld to host the NBC series, The Marriage Ref and had a reoccurring role opposite of Julia Louis-Dreyfus on the CBS series, The New Adventures of Old Christine.  He also starred in his own NBC series, Come to Papa.

Tom is host of the hit SiriusXM show, Come to Papa, which airs on channel 99. The weekly, hour-long program features extended interviews with comedians, including Mel Brooks, Ray Romano, Carl Reiner and Jerry Seinfeld, and live, scripted radio plays. Tom has been a regular guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Conan, and The Late Show with David Letterman. When not touring the country, Tom lives in New York and Los Angeles with his wife and family.
