On December 16, 2021, Western Growers (WG), in collaboration with other trade associations, hosted a webinar to provide an overview of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) long-anticipated proposed changes to the agricultural water requirements (Subpart E) of the Produce Safety Rule.

On January 26, 2022, WG is hosting a follow-up webinar to facilitate additional discussion and convey subject matter experts’ perspectives. With the support of two well-recognized experts, Dr. Trevor Suslow and Dr. Channah Rock, WG will review and discuss key proposed requirements, potential benefits and challenges to on-farm ag water quality risk assessments. Register today to hear from the experts and ask questions.

These proposed changes were announced on Dec. 2, 2021, and are open for comments until April 6, 2022. The full text of the rule is located in Docket Folder FDA-2021-N-0471.
