This is the report on Product Tracing Pilots prepared by the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) focused on the outcomes of two pilot projects designed to test and study various product tracing practices for fresh produce and processed foods. It contains recommendations to the FDA to improve product tracing, these recommendations are meant to be used by FDA and Congress in the rulemaking process for high-risk foods to facilitate product tracing.
