Booth Ranches was started in 1957 by Loren's father, Otis Booth, Jr., with 40 acres near the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Today, the company owns and operates acreage throughout the citrus belt of the San Joaquin Valley and grows and ships fresh citrus worldwide.
Loren is a fifth generation Californian. She attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in 2019.
Currently, Loren serves as board chair of Hills Valley Irrigation District, board member for Friant Water Users, trustee for the Children's Institute, vice chair for the Reining Horse Foundation and is active with the Boys and Girls Clubs. She is also the past chair for the California Agricultural Leadership Foundation.
