WG President and CEO Tom Nassif spoke to more than 500 growers and others associated with Paramount Farms at its annual conference Thursday in Visalia.  Nassif talked to the group about the latest news in immigration reform and the success of the independent expenditure committee Family Farmers Working for a Better California, in California during the last election when two ag-hostile incumbents in the Assembly were defeated.

Paramount President and owner Stewart Resnick opened the conference, while other speakers touched on subjects such as global and domestic marketing; sales and marketing in China, Europe and emerging markets; food safety and the Navel Orangeworm. Additional speakers covered water and regulatory updates and government affairs.
