Program Requirements
WG Women have access to a series of on-going activities – both virtual and regionally-based – aimed at supporting professional growth and paving the way for influential leadership opportunities within the fresh produce industry. Eighteen credits are required to complete the program and earn a WG Women Certificate of Completion. This requirement will increase to 20 credits starting in January 2025. At least one year of program participation will be necessary to achieve the requisite number of credits.
The 2024-2025 Course Catalog is now live.
Upcoming WG Women Events
Washington DC Advocacy & Leadership Retreat, January 27-30, 2025: Join us as a small group of WG Women participants travel to Washington, DC to advocate for policies shaping the future of agriculture. From Capitol Hill to key meetings with elected officials and agriculture advocates to notable women focused tours, program participants will learn and advocate for farming in the western United States and ensure we are shaping policies that will benefit farming communities for years to come.
Wearing Multiple Hats Successfully, And Using Stress for Good in the Process, Bakersfield, CA, February 13, 2025: Navigating today’s workforce comes with unprecedented challenges. Many of us wear multiple hats as supervisors, team members, mentors, counselors and friends, all while supporting others through change and stress.
Join Dr. Tina Huff and the Western Growers Women (WGW) Program for an empowering workshop where you’ll learn practical strategies to manage these diverse roles. Discover how to turn stress into a catalyst for success—for yourself and those you support.
Following the workshop, enjoy a lunch provided by WGW, and join us for an exciting farm tour in the local area. Stay tuned for more details about the tour location!
