Yuma Lettuce Days may be over, but there’s still plenty of good coming out of the weekend event held March 9 and 10 in Arizona. Pictured above, WG Vice Chair Vic Smith, of JV Smith Companies, receives a check for $3,011.66 from Kristan Sheppeard, of Limelight Creative Group and Linda Jordan, with the Yuma Visitors Bureau. The money was raised through several efforts including a partnership between Western Growers Foundation and Tanimura & Antle’s ‘Pot-a-Plant’ stand at the Yuma Lettuce Days. The funds will be used to support edible school gardens in Yuma.
