The chief of the Division of Occupational Safety and Health Cal/OSHA, Ellen Widess, has resigned her post, effective immediately.   The resignation comes mid-term into her appointment within Governor Jerry Brown’s Administration and so far, no official reason has been given for her resignation.  Juliann Sum, will take over as acting chief at the agency.  Sum is was special advisor to Department of Industrial Relations director Christine Baker.  Widess will stay on and serve as special advisor to Ms. Baker.
