California state law mandates that employees who perform supervisory functions at a company with 50 or more employees take sexual harassment training. The mandate first became effective August 17, 2007, resulting from the passage of AB 1825 and is part of California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act. Employees are required to take the training every two years.
Western Growers University is offering an interactive, two-hour AB 1825 compliant Sexual Harassment Prevention Workshop to explain the legal definitions of sexual harassment and employment discrimination. It will educate attendees on how to correctly address such issues and discuss various legal obligations that managers have to their employees and the consequences of sexual harassment on the individual as well as the organization. This IN-PERSON workshop is being offered in both English and Spanish, on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at WG’s Fresno office, 7575 North Palm, Suite 101, Fresno, CA 93711.
