This month, Western Growers Foundation awarded $500 each to 40 Arizona and California K-12 schools. The grants will fund plants and supplies needed to sustain a fruit and vegetable garden. This particular grant was open to schools with existing gardens and who will use the funds to continue to grow their garden. Grant recipients will receive a grant package that includes a $500 check, a “Gardens for Learning,” book, seeds and an irrigation kit courtesy of Toro Micro-Irrigation and Dripworks.
