With the recent freeze in both California and Arizona, some Western Growers members will rely on crop insurance to move their business forward after losing some crops – and valuable revenue. After freezing temps in the Central Valley left Board Member Carol Chandler wondering the extent of the damage, she said, “Thank goodness for crop insurance.”

Today, Western Growers along with organizations representing a historically broad cross-section of agricultural employers announced the formation of the Agriculture Workforce Coalition (AWC). In coming together through this coalition, the agriculture community is able to speak with a unified voice in seeking legislation to provide our producers a stable and skilled workforce.
