The LaBrucherie family began growing produce in the Imperial Valley in the 1950s. In 2003, J.P. went to work for his father, Tim, and later helped him form LaBrucherie Produce in 2011. Today, LaBrucherie Produce custom grows a wide variety of fresh produce crops, including arugula, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, celery, kale, lettuce, onions, spinach, and spring mix.
J.P. serves as a board member of the Imperial Valley Vegetable Growers Association and the San Diego-Imperial Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting at the University of Southern California and a law degree from the University of Notre Dame. Even while running the family farming operations, J.P. continues to maintain his C.P.A. and law licenses.
