WG Science

Salinas, CA
Finalized in 2022, compliance with the FDA Food Traceability Rule is set for July of 2028. Yet, awareness of the rule and its requirements is still varied. FDA collaborated with industry experts to develop a core curriculum through the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance to support implementation of the rule, and this course will be taught by a member of the editorial team, Jennifer McEntire, and a member of the Western Growers Science team, Sonia Salas. This course is intended for all domestic and foreign entities that are covered by the Food Traceability Rule, including growers, harvesters and coolers of RACs on the food traceability list, and all fresh-cut fruit and vegetable processors.
