Steve Danna grew up on the family farm in San Jose, and has worked in all aspects of the business from production to sales. The family’s ties to the produce industry date back to the beginning of the 20th century when Steve’s great-grandfather settled in the Santa Clara Valley. The family business started in 1933 and expanded to Yuba City in the 1940s. Danna Farms produces a variety of crops, including melons, prunes, walnuts, almonds, persimmons, squash, sunflowers, wheat and tomatoes.
Steve graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is also active in water issues and has served on numerous boards, including serving as Chairman of the Northern California Water Association. Steve was in the California Agricultural Leadership Program Class XXVI, and his other affiliations include California Farm Bureau Federation and he currently serves as Chairman of the River Valley Community Bank Board of Directors.
Steve has served on the board since 1996.
