The 2018 Western Growers Party with the Partners was a night filled with celebration and kudos. In addition to thanking all of WG’s tremendous industry partners, the event was dedicated to recognizing the family farms who have been WG members for 50, 60 and 70 or more years.

“They are a testament to the staying power of our industry and our organization,” said Kim Sherman, director of membership at Western Growers, during the award ceremony. “In truth, they provide Western Growers with the credibility that allows us to be effective advocates for fresh produce farmers in Arizona and California.”

Last night, WG recognized the following agricultural organizations for their years of membership:

• Grower-Shipper Association of Central California (50 years)
• Sahara Packing Company (50 years)
• The DiMare Company (50+ years)
• Martori Farms (50+ years)
• La Brucherie Produce LLC (60+ years)

Additionally, WG Golf Chairman and CEO of Beachside Produce, John Jackson, announced the winners of the golf tournament. The following won their respective contests:

• Winning Team: Anthony Ratto, Matt Luis, Bob Bender, Dennis Lane
• Longest Drive: John Manfre, Woody Fenley, Tami Harmon, Kelly Ansaldo
• Closest to the Pin: Willy Leon
• Longest Putt: Willy Leon
