During President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office, Western Growers President and CEO Tom Nassif will be providing an in-depth analysis on how proposed federal policies will affect agriculture. Nassif will offer regular updates through Nassif Notes, detailing how issues such as healthcare, tax reform, immigration and trade will impact ag and ag-related businesses.
The blog series kicks off today with an analysis on what Trump’s executive order concerning the Affordable Care Act (ACA) means for farmers.
“You may be asking ‘what effect does the ACA Executive Order have on my health care benefits and business?’ As of right now, not much. This executive order doesn’t modify existing law or regulation; it just merely demonstrates the President’s ultimate intention: to repeal and replace the ACA,” said Nassif in his blog entry.
Nassif speaks about the potential positive and negative effects of the proposed healthcare replacement plan and highlights the timeline of the ACA repeal and replace. Click here to the full blog entry, “A Look into the Impacts of the ACA Repeal and Replace.”
Stay tuned to Nassif Notes and Spotlight for future updates on ACA, tax reform, immigration and trade.
