Sac Bee Publishes Op-Ed by Nassif, Radanovich and Nelsen on ALRB Appointment of Hall

Western Growers President and CEO Tom Nassif teamed up with George Radanovich, president of the California Fresh Fruit Association, and Joel Nelsen, president of California Citrus Mutual, to pen a Sacramento Bee op-ed (appeared Thursday online, will appear Friday in print) criticizing the Brown administration for its recent appointment of former state Senator Isadore Hall, a staunch UFW ally, to the Agricultural Labor Relations Board (ALRB).

In the op-ed, the authors state that while the ALRB was formed to provide balanced representation between labor and agriculture, it has instead “become one of the most contentious, lopsided administrative boards ever assembled by the state of California.” The authors go on to argue that farmers deserve a fairer, more balanced board. The full text of the op-ed can be found here.
