Western Growers honored Stephen (Steve) Patricio with the 2018 Award of Honor last night. Patricio, whose visionary leadership has advanced the agricultural industry by leaps and bounds, was honored with Western Growers’ Award of Honor.

In addition to the Award of Honor, Patricio was also presented a resolution from the California Legislature – a Joint Members Resolution from Representatives Anthony Cannella, Heath Flora and Adam Gray.

Preceded by introductory remarks from WG President & CEO Tom Nassif, Patricio delivered an inspirational speech that resonated with each and every guest.

“Western Growers are the better kids. They are the best kids,” said Patricio. “Hanging around these kids have made me better. They are my family for life.”

Jon Dorenbos—Philadelphia Eagles Long-Snapper, magician and inspirational speaker—closed out the night with a riveting show that showcased his skills as a magician. During the show, Dorenbos also shared his incredible life story and positive outlook to help inspire others to overcome their own obstacles and embrace change.
