George Boskovich III
Boskovich Farms, Inc., Chief Technology Officer

In 1915 Stephen Boskovich, a Croatian immigrant, began farming in North Hollywood, California. After World War II his three sons, Philip, George and John continued and expanded his operation, forming Boskovich Brothers Produce growers. The brothers moved to the Santa Clarita area and farmed green onions. As the operation grew they added other crops.

In the 1970’s the sons of George and Phil Boskovich also joined the company and formed Boskovich Farms in 1976. The company expanded its product line and forged relationships to grow crops in various areas of California, Arizona and Mexico, allowing year around supplies to their growing customer base.

Boskovich Farms entered the value added product arena in 1996 with the development of the Boskovich Fresh Cut division. In 2004/2005 this division moved to the Oxnard facility enabling the processing, packaging and shipment of both fresh and valued added product from a single facility, and in 2011 Boskovich Farms purchased a neighboring facility to allow for growth and expansion.

Today Boskovich Farms grows more than 25 different conventional and organic commodities and produces in excess of 250 different processed and fresh packed items. Boskovich Farms grows crops on 12,000 acres in California and Mexico. In 2015 Boskovich Farms will be celebrating their centennial.

George holds a bachelor’s of science in business from California State University at Channel Islands.

George was elected to the board in 2015.
