On Monday, May 4, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will host the next call in a series of weekly private sector calls for updates on the COVID-19 response. As previously stated in Spotlight, the CDC is now conducting private sector calls detailing what the CDC knows and what it is doing in response to the coronavirus outbreak. The CDC plans to host calls every Monday for the foreseeable future.
Dr. Megin Nichols, the COVID-19 food systems workgroup lead at CDC, will provide a broad overview of CDC’s guidance and resources for the food industry. CDC Deputy Director for the Infectious Diseases Jay Butler will provide an update on what CDC knows at this point and what CDC is doing in response to this outbreak. We will also have time for questions and answers.
