The Social Wrap: Oct. 29 – Nov. 4

From wrapping up Pumpkin Palooza to taking consumers into the field for a look at holiday crops, see how we put our members and the industry in the spotlight on social media this week.

For the final stop of our Pumpkin Palooza campaign, we visited Van Groningen & Sons for a behind-the-scenes tour of their pumpkin packing facility, showing consumers how pumpkins are sorted, stickered and packed before heading to stores and pumpkin patches.

Western Growers Postdoctoral Research Associate for Biologicals Amanda Rodriguez also broke down the differences between organic and regenerative agriculture, helping our audience better understand two terms they may often hear when it comes to how their food is grown.

At Ratto Bros. Inc. in Modesto, Calif., Geoff Ratto took us into the field for a look at collard greens and baby bok choy growing just in time for the holiday season.

We also shared that the Q4 2026 digital issue of Western Grower & Shipper magazine is now available online, giving our audience another way to connect with the stories, people and issues shaping Western agriculture.

By taking followers from the packing line to the field and tackling questions about farming practices along the way, we’re helping consumers better understand the work, expertise and innovation behind what our members grow.
